This page is dedicated to documenting lost media associated with Stefán Karl. Here, 'lost media' also refers to partially available content, like clips, photos, reviews, and interviews—ranging from comprehensive collections to a few online recollections.
The archive will feature many of my Tumblr posts highlighting discoveries and external links to help in finding or understanding more about them.
The ratings I add for how likely something will be found are based off of my own assumptions and past experiences with similar cases, they're not set in stone!
Lost Unaired Episode
Fans are actively searching for more footage and photos from the lost episode.
Although people from the crew who have the episode have been contacted, they are unable to share it online, so it's best not to contact them asking about it as many already did.

A reboot of Spaugstofan featuring new episodes included Stefán Karl, who was cast in the 2012 episode.
I found officially posted clips from the episode but none of them included Stefán Karl. Other than TV recordings being published online, Stöð 2 could release them, making them more accessible. Alternatively, someone from Iceland may find a way to watch the full episodes and record them.

Lost skit
In an article, Stefán Karl mentioned a lost skit from Áramótaskaup. In the skit, he sang the Icelandic national anthem to the tune of 'When the Robbers Came to Cardamom Town.' The scene was removed and banned, possibly deleted from the film reel. Stefán Karl has photos from the skit but wished he had it recorded on tape.
In case the skit wasn't entirely removed, it could be found in RÚV's archives or with the person who recorded the film for Áramótaskaup in 1994. There's also hope of seeing the photos.

Lost TV Episodes
Finding information or footage of Stefán Karl's roles in Stundin Okkar has been challenging. We do have one interview he did for Rainbow Children. There are mentions of a clown character he played in 1999 and his work as a puppeteer from 1994. Our best chance is to look for TV recordings, archives, or hope for more episodes to be published by RÚV online.

Possibly Lost Appearence?
This is a short movie where Stefán Karl was credited but never actually appeared in. There might be a small chance that he recorded scenes for his part that were not included or they weren't recorded at all as intentionally planned. Confirmation from someone working on the movie would be needed to verify this.

Lost Voice Lines
While the movie itself isn't lost, Stefán Karl's voice lines meant to be heard in it are missing. I've watched it multiple times without hearing any Icelandic/Old Norse being spoken. There are Vikings, played by Gary Sievers, Jason Vaisvila, and Cade Wagar, and they were supposed to be voiced over by Icelandic speakers. Stefán Karl confirmed he voiced one of them, so there's a chance the recordings exist somewhere. However, I have no clue where they are or if they still exist.
If a copy of his lines were to exist, it would likely be owned by Disney, the current rights holder of the movie (produced by 20th Century Fox). Or from those who did the recordings and audio editing.
Low
Possibly Lost Voice Lines
A situation somewhat similar to Night at the Museum regarding his voice lines, though in this case, it's harder to confirm if his lines were in the movie as they were 'ADR' (Automated Dialogue Replacement).
If his work is indeed in the movie, assistance is needed to pinpoint when he appears, as I couldn't identify it. Alternatively, similar to the Night at the Museum case, a potential copy would likely come from Disney, or those involved in the recordings and audio editing.

Lost songs
In one part of the book, mentioned by the late Gísli Rúnar Jónsson, Stefán Karl was part of a professional comedy ensemble performing by the Pond at the old Reykjavík Theatre. A theme song was composed with lyrics, but it was never put into production until Stefán Karl took the initiative. He finished it by using a friend's recording studio, where he played all the instruments, sang all the four-part harmony vocals, and mixed the entire song on his own.
A great starting point would be to identify the comedy ensemble and possibly the friend Stefán worked with. Additionally, checking the archives of the old Reykjavík Theatre might yield information, or it could have been part of Stefán's personal possessions.
IIn another part, Stefán mentioned that before the establishment of the Youth Theater Department in Hafnarfjörður, his school would make the students sing and record album songs, as well as perform shows.
The school Stefán attended when he was young is called 'Öldutúnsskóli,' so the records might be in its archives from around the 80s.
